Chapter 10

D’Arik straightened his shoulders as he heard the water begin to run in the shower. He hadn’t been a very good mate to Varin in the past couple of months. He was not proud to admit that he’d been neglecting the man’s needs, both physically and mentally. They had stopped making love in lieu of quick fucks whenever their bodies’ needs became too pronounced. Now that they had another mate to attend to, he was going to stand up and be the male he used to be.

It pained his heart to see Varin so used to being pushed aside in favor of other duties that he didn’t even bother to reach for D’Arik. Varin turned around quickly and wrapped him in a warm embrace.
